英汉散文的音韵节奏及其翻译

Phonology and Rhythm of Prose and the Translation

作为诗歌的衍生物,散文在音韵节奏方面的要求虽然没有诗歌那么严格,但同样也讲究音韵节奏带来的效果。散文也具备音韵节奏带来的音响效果,因此在英汉散文互译过程中,译者也应在理解、欣赏原文音韵节奏美的基础上,尽量在译文中传递其带来的效果。然而由于汉英两种语言、文化和思维方式的不同,汉英散文在音韵节奏方面也不尽相同,这就给汉英散文互译造成了一定的困难。在分析二者不同特点的基础上,本文进而提出英汉散文互译中应避免的几个问题。

The prose, as a ramification of poetry, is not so strictly required in phonology and rhythm, but the effect brought about by phonology and rhythm is also important for the prose. The paper argues that the prose also needs the special effect of phonology and rhythm. Therefore, when translating the prose it is necessary to understand and appreciate the beauty in phonology and rhythm and then convey the effect as much as possible in the target language. Great differences between English and Chinese in language, culture and way of thinking make it difficult to translate English and Chinese prose. On the basis of the analysis of their differences, the paper put forward several points which translators should pay special attention to. The paper purports to provide translators with some guidance.
