On improving quality of university teaching

摘要 目前,高校决定考核和职称的关键在于文章和科研,忽略了对教师教学效果的考评,致使教师把主要精力放在科研和写文章上面;另一方面现在高校专业基础课及专业课程的学时数也有很大程度的减少,同样对大学教学产生了不容忽视的负面影响。为了改善教学质量,必须遵循教学规律,完善学校的教学质量监督机制,必须强化推行计算机辅助教学。在教学思路上,教学要重基础、重概念,抓住主线条。大学教学要有高度,要注重自信力和能力的培养。 At present, scientific research and published papers are deterministic factors instead of teaching effect to evaluate teachers in universities. Therefore, teachers devote most of their efforts on the two aspects. Meanwhile, the credit hour of major courses for undergraduates is reduced in colleges and universities, which has a negative impact on the teaching effect. To improve the teaching quality in universities, we proposed new approaches including following teaching laws, improving supervision mechanism, and strengthening computer-aided instruction. Teaching should focus on basis and concept, seizing the mainline, and giving attention to cultivating self-confidence and ability.
