儒家从产生时起,所提倡之学说便将个人的社会定位放在第一位,人与社会的关系和社会秩序的和谐建构是儒家学说讨论的中心问题。荀子宣扬的礼乐教化学说继承了传统儒家的这一特点,并且适应了新的时代形式的需要,将儒家的礼乐学说由以往单纯道德修养方法发展成为一种为政治服务的手段,对后来封建社会的巩固与发展产生了重大作用。

It has also developed the Confucian theory of rites and music of from a mere method of ethical attainments to a means of serving politics, playing a significant role in the consolidation and development of the feudal society.
