小果型无籽西瓜新品种小王子的选育

Breeding of Mini Seedless Watermelon Variety ‘Mini Prince’

小王子是湖北省农业科学院经济作物研究所、湖北鄂蔬农业科技有限公司以小果型四倍体自交系WP311作母本,二倍体自交系WT-201作父本配制而成的小果型无籽西瓜品种。早熟,果实发育期30d左右。果实近圆形,果皮绿色覆深绿细条纹,皮厚0.7cm左右;瓜瓤红色,中心可溶性固形物12%左右,边部9%左右。单果质量约2.0kg,667m2产量约2000kg。2007-2008年参加了湖北省西瓜区域试验。适宜长江中下游地区种植。

Mini Prince is a new mini seedless watermelon developed by crossing tetraploid inbred line WP-311 with diploid inbred line WT-201. It is early and fruit matures 30 days from flowering. The fruit is nearly globe shaped with green skin and deep green narrow stripes, red flesh. The soluble solid content at center portion is about 12%. The rind thickness is about 0.7 cm. The yield per 667 m^2 is up to 2 000 kg and the fruit size is about 2.0 kg.
