The national'Double Hundred Market Project'On-site Meeting was held in Jingzhou of Hubei Province on September 24,2009,which attracted over 300 representatives from the commercial authorities of provinces and cities,local commissioners of the Ministry of Commerce,and representatives from large agricultural products wholesale markets and distribution enterprises.The meeting focuses on the construction of modern agricultural products circulation system so as to solve the problem of difficult selling of agricultural products and increase farmers' income.Initiated in 2006 by the Ministry of Commerce,the'Double Hundred Market Project'has since then fostered a large number of large agricultural products wholesale markets and distribution enterprises and has built modern circulation system integrated with the world market.The next efforts of the Ministry of Commerce will be to accelerate the overall planning of agricultural products wholesale markets,strengthen the supply chain management,promote the market management level,boost the integration between domestic and international markets,and improve the modern circulation system.
