A review of the development of active cationic polymerization,in particalar,the active cationic polymerization of the PS-PIB-PS block copolymer and the characteristics and properties.The effect of electron pair donor and proton trap added into the active polymerization system on the remaining of the active seeds and MWD and blocking efficiency was introduced.And the effect of the time of styrene added on the blocking efficiency discussed.
