Multinationals' Investment in China: Analysis and Thoughts

经过多年的考察和试验，跨国公司已确认我国为理想的投资场所，将我国纳入其全球战略，其在华投资也出现了新的趋势——系统化，表现为跨行业、跨地区的纵横一体化投资：产品的配套式投资，开发、生产及销售的“一条龙”投资，相关行业的“滚雪球”投资。随着控制要素———投资性控股公司的出现，使对各个分散的投资进行有效调控成为可能，跨国公司的在华投资从而演化为一个完整的系统。这一变化，给我国带来推动经济发展的积极作用，同时也产生了较严重的负面影响。本文就跨国公司在华投资系统化趋势及其各种效应进行分析和思考，并针对产生的一系列问题提出建议，以限制负面影响。

Abstract After years of investigation and experiment, multinationals have affirmed that China is the ideal marketplace for investing and included it in their global strategy. Hence in their investments appears a new trend- “ systematic,' which finds its expression in cross business, cross region, vertically and horizontally integrated investments, such as a complete production network, a package program of development, production and sales, and “ snowing ball” of related businesses. With the appearance of controlling factors appearance of investment holding corporations, it is possible for scattered investment to become efficiently controllable. Thus the investment in China from multinationals evolves into a integrated system. This change has brought China positive influence and promoted economic deve lopment. However, it has also produced serious negative influence. This paper analyzes and ponders over the systematic trends and various effects of multinationals investing in China, and puts forward some suggestions relating to the existing problems, in order to curb the negative influence and put it on the right course of China s economic operation
