The Steady Development of Language Planning of PRC in the Past Sixty Years

本文试图对60年来新中国语言文字工作做比较系统的总结,反思和探讨不同阶段语言文字工作的特点、经验与不足,同时展望未来的语言文字工作。文章认为,新中国语言文字工作总体上是稳步发展的,实行的语言文字政策和执行的语言文字工作方针是正确、积极、稳妥的,对国家发展、民族振兴、社会进步起到了巨大的促进作用。

This paper is a comprehensive review of the language planning of the People＇ s Republic of China in the past 60 years, which summarizes the characteristics, experience and inadequacies in different historical periods, and offers insights for years to come. The paper concludes that the language planning and language policy of PRC are proper, progressive and positive, which have played an important role for the development of the country, the revitalization of Chinese nation and the progress of the Chinese community.
