On the‘Cultural Cold War’in the Post-Cold-War Era

冷战结束后,随着文化在国际关系中作用的日益凸显,国际社会围绕文化主权问题展开了激烈的博弈。文化冷战取代意识形态冷战成为和平与发展新时代国际社会的重要特征,它虽然是意识形态冷战在当今时代条件下的延续和变种,但却呈现出一些不同于以往的新特点。文化冷战是美国文化霸权同世界多元文化主张者之间矛盾不断加剧的必然结果。它反映和体现的不仅仅是不同意识形态之间的较量,更是国际关系中文化权力与文化权利的斗争。

After the cold war, as culture is becoming more and more important in the international relationship, huge competition appears among different countries to gain cultural sovereignty. When the world is seeking for peace and development, ideological cold war is replaced by cultural cold war, which is a variety and continuation of the former but has some new features. Cuhural cold war is the inevitable result of the contradiction between American cultural supremacy and multi-cultures of the world. Cultural cold war is not only a competition among different ideology, but also a fight among different countries to gain cultural power and cultural fight.
