By resorting to literature, questionnaire and statistics, the author has investigated into the leisure sports consumption situation of the urban residents in the Zhongyuan region and the result shows that the leisure sports consumption is affected and restricted by the factors of concept, age and infrastructure, but with the rapid development of economy, the increase of the residents＇ income, the change of their consumption concept and the constant consumption expenditure, there exists a huge potential market for leisure sports activities and the future of appreciation - type and participation - type sports consumption is even more promising.
