摘要
宗教对人类生活及语言的发展演变起了重要的作用。比喻作为语言表达中常用的修辞手法,在宗教习语中也被广泛使用。本文将以认知语言学中的明喻、隐喻、转喻、提喻四种使用较多的修辞格为出发点,对源自基督教的部分英语习语进行梳理和对比。
Religion enjoys a significant place in people＇s life and the development of languages.Figure of speech, often used as a way to improve the expression, is widely employed in idioms concerning religion.Taking a departure point from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, namely, simile, metaphor, metonymy and synecdoche, this paper compares the idioms originating from Christianity.
