A New Fight in the View of Western Modernity: Saving Reality——Remarks on the Potential Problem of Modernity

真实性是西方世界自进入现代以来的一种社会道德理想,它追求的是一种个人忠实于自我的生活,对自我真实的高超境界。真实性自其产生以来,就在西方世界现代化的进程中由高尚堕化为低劣,从而引起了诸多社会和道德问题。导致真实性堕化的因素主要有道德视野的隐没、主观主义盛行和自决自由的行为方式等。挽救真实性是西方现代性视野中的一场新战斗,公民身份理论是关于这一战斗的有益尝试。

Reality is a kind of social moral ideal that western world has held since the modem time. And it pursues a kind of life in which an individual is loyal to oneself, and a super world where one is treated as a real man. Since the appearance of reality, it has degenerated from nobleness into inferiority, and thus resulting in a variety of social and moral problems. Actually, factors leading to the degeneration of reality involve the disappearance of moral view, the prevalence of subjectivism, the behavior mode of deciding freedom by oneself and so on. Saving reality is a new fight in the view of western modernity, one beneficial attempt about which is the theory of citizenship.
