英语单词中的认知意象

The Cognitive Images in English Words

意象是心理学中的一个概念,是一种心理表征,可以应用在语言学习中。单词的抽象含义借助意象得以具体化、形象化,便捷记忆。笔者尝试从认知心理学的角度研究记忆英语单词,用一个概念形成的意象来记忆另一个概念所形成的意象,使学习者感受到英语单词中的直观意象、类典型意象、组合意象和联想意象,挖掘英语单词背后所蕴含的意象美,以加深对英语单词的理解和记忆。

Image,a concept in psychology,is a mental representation,which can be a help in language learning. The abstract sense of words can be concrete for memory with the help of imagery. The authors attempt to find an efficient way to memorize English words from the perspective of cognitive psychology by using the image of one concept to memorize the image of another concept,so that the learners will experience the direct,pmtotypical, combinative,and associative images and their beauty behind some English words for a better understanding of the language.
