摘要
黑人英语作为一种特殊的语言变体,在文学作品中具有其独特的美学特征,这是与其文化传统紧密相连的,体现在节奏美、简洁美、含蓄美、人物刻画的真实性等方面。以往的文学作品中对黑人英语的翻译有不同的再现方法,但都存在不同程度的缺陷。本文在分析借鉴前人理论和实践的基础上,尝试性提出黑人英语美学功能再现应注意再现＂前景化＂效果、发挥译语词汇和句法层面优势和不完全否认语音飞白使用等三原则。
American Black English as a non-standard form of English is often used in literary works. Closely related to its culture, American Black English has its particular aesthetic characteristics of rhythm, simplicity, and indirectness. It can also be used to vividly describe the heroes in novels. Translators have tried to reproduce the artistic effect of American Black English, but none of the methods is completely satisfactory. This paper, based on the previous theories and practices, proposes three tentative principles on the translation of American Black English with the hope of giving some insight in literary translation.
