摘要
汽车牌照识别是图像识别领域的重要研究课题,这里运用MATLAB研究车牌识别技术中的图像预处理、车牌定位、字符分割与字符识别等核心部分,并提出一种基于MATLAB的车牌识别系统的实现方法,综合使用多种方法提高系统的有效识别能力。该方法解决了在自然背景的图像中定位分割牌照区域、车牌倾斜和提取分割的字符等问题。通过对一定数量的图像进行处理,结果表明MATLAB在车牌识别方面的运用非常有效。
License plate recognition is an important research topic in the field of image recognition.This paper using MATLAB researches the image pre-processing, license plate location,character segmentation and character recognition in the license plate recognition technology,then proposes a method to realize the license plate recognition system based on MATLAB,eomprehensively uses a number of ways to increase effective recognition of the system.The method solves the problems of license plate areas location and segmentation in the natural background image,license plate inclining and extracting characters from the partition.Through processing a certain number of image,the results show that the use of MATLAB in license plate recognition is very effective and successful.
