摘要
为提高Gabor滤波算法的运行效率,改善指纹图像的增强效果,提出一种改进的Ga-bor滤波实现方法。该方法将指纹图像分割成小块,以各小块中心点的方向和脊频作为块中每一点的方向和脊频,并对块方向进行量化,以量化方向序号为索引调用滤波模板对指纹图像滤波。滤波结果表明:改进的算法对指纹图像增强效果明显,处理速度快,对于质量较差的图像也具有较好的增强效果。
Aimed at improving both operating efficiency of Gabor filter algorithm and enhancement effects of fingerprint image method consists of dividing , this paper proposes an improved realization method of Gabor filter. This fingerprint image into small blocks, using the center-point's direction and ridge frequency of each block as the direction and ridge frequency of every point in this block to quantize the direction of blocks, and filtering the fingerprint image by using the ordinal of quantify direction as index and depending on filtering-template. The filter results show that this algorithm gives a better enhancement effect, quicker process, and above all, a better enhancement effect for the poor-quality images.
