阿诺德.伯林特的环境美学被认为是对自18世纪以来"无利害的静观"这一美学原则的彻底颠覆。他通过对环境的重新界定,强调人与环境的包容和贯通的"参与性",建构了一种迥异于传统二元论的全新的环境观。藉此,它的美学成为反传统主客二分及走出"人类中心主义"范本被学者大势颂扬着。但是,笔者认为,这种所谓的反"人类中心主义"环境美学理论,是一种由更为隐蔽的"人类中心主义"幽灵所主宰下制造出的一种美丽幻象。他对城市景观的理想建构说明他的环境美学的人类中心主义本质。
Arnold Berleant's environmental aesthetics has been regarded as the thorough subversion of the aesthetical principle of "harmless static observation" of the 18th century. Through his re-definition of environment, Arnold Berleant stresses the harmony and constructs a new environmental view different from the traditional two-valued view. Therefore, his aesthetics has been accepted and praised by scholars who fight against the traditional two-valued view and anthropocentrism. However, this paper holds that the so-called anti-anthropocentric environmental aesthetics proves only to be a beautiful illusion, which is dominated by the hidden anthropocentric spirit. His ideal construction of urban view shows the nature of anthropocentrism of his environmental aesthetics.
