Philosophical thought to the Fundamental Issues in the Discipline of Geographic Information System

从哲学本体论、认识论和方法论角度探讨GIS学科中的几个基本问题:现实世界、概念世界、数字世界、空间认知、空间表达、空间分析与研究方法,总结了GIS应用中的空间数据的组织、管理,分析了GIS发展过程中学科研究的分化与综合统一。

In this paper, several fundamental issues in GIS are reviewed and discussed from multiple perspectives of philosophical ontology, epistemology, methodology, spatial analysis and social practice. This paper has discussed the relationships between geographic reality, spatial recognition and spatial representation, and the diversified natures of geographic information are systematically analyzed. This paper has generalized the organization of spatial data in the GIS, and analyzed the polarization and unionization＇in the development of GIS discipline. It gives us some inspiration to promote the scientific research and GIS development in the future.
