国外网络用户信息查寻行为的研究方法述评

A Review of the Methodologies Used by User's Information-seeking Behavior on the Web in Foreign Countries

用户信息查寻行为的研究方法按照数据收集方法分为定性方法的观察法、出声思考法、访谈法、问卷法和个案分析法等,定量方法的调查法、测试法、实验法和日志法。大多数研究采用多种研究方法相结合使用,且以定量研究方法为研究的主导方法。最后结合我国该领域的研究现状,建议应借鉴国外研究方法的多样性及综合使用的灵活性。

The methodologies used by user＇s information-seeking behavior on the web can be classified according to data collection techniques. That is, the methods are collecting data qualitatively including observations, think alouds, interviews, questionnaires and case studies. And the methods are collecting data quantitatively including surveys, tests, experimental studies and log analysis. Then, the author explores that most studies use multiple methods, and the dominant methods are quantitative rather than qualitative methodologies. At last, it puts forward some advices to the domestic research.
