Singapore mandarin and Chinese putonghua are social varieties of modern Chinese in various countries and regions.Their difference lies in lexicon and grammar.This essay discusses the differences of reduplicated words in these two language variants,analyzes the differences in three respects： its form,grammatical function and significance and makes a comparison of the similarities and differences.It attempts to offer some reference to enhance intercommunication between two countries.
