馆本研究是以某个图书馆为本的研究。馆本研究具有针对性、全员参与性和实践导向性的特点。其形式有方案式、案例式、反思式等。作为图书馆的共性研究、理论研究、思辨研究的补充,馆本研究将开拓图书馆研究的领域,促进馆员和图书馆发展。

Library-oriented studies refers to studies based on the library concerned, having characteristics of direction, full--participation and practice orientation. The research pattern has the form of programming, case study, pondering and other patterns of research. As a common library research, theoretical research, reasoning and analytical study will open up the field of research, and promote the development of libraries and librarians.
