本文试图梳理1884年～1984年间的高层建筑发展历史,回顾第一座高层建筑的概念界定以及高层建筑与技术、城市和形式有关的三次转化和变革,对这100年间的高层建筑历史进行了图解和分析。

This papaer, starting from the definition and problem of the first ＂skyscraper＂ to three following revolutionary transition respectively in terms of construction technology, urbanism and architectural form, tries to examine the history of the skyscraper between 1884-1984, then provides diagrams produced after the scrutiny.
