国花之辩、辨

The Discussion and Recognition of the National Flower

遴选国花之议已经多年,迄今仍无定论,恐系缺乏评议标准所致。提出3个方面作为参考,冀期起到抛砖引玉的作用,以利推荐、研讨、辩论,最终达到良好的判断(明辨)。这3个方面是:1)文化内涵:应本着双百方针来发扬优良传统和体现创新精神;2)中国原产和分布广泛:国花应是科学的实事求是的中国代表;3)形象好、有特色:国花应表达出中华民族多民族大家庭祥和繁荣昌盛的形象特色。根据上述3方面的阐述,推荐杜鹃花当属国花之首选,荷花次之。关于参选国花的植物名称是否必须限于"单种"或者可以使用民风民俗长期惯用于"多种"的泛称问题,主张只要不是错误,则不必限制。

The selection of the national flower has been discussed for many years and has not come to any conclusion,which could result from the lack of evaluation standards. In this paper three aspects of consideration are proposed to attract more valuable opinions and to facilitate the recommendation,discussion,debate,and ultimately a good judgment. The three aspects are：1） Cultural connotation：the fine traditions and innovative spirit should be promoted with the principle of cultural diversity and contending thoughts; 2） Chinese origin and distribution of a wide range：the national flower should be the Chinese representative scientifically and truthfully; 3） good image and characteristics：the national flower should express the image feature of the family-like auspicious and prosperous multi-nationality China. Based on the above three described aspects,azalea is recommended as the first choice of national flower,and lotus flower is the second choice. As to the names of recommended national flowers to be limited in ＂single species＂ or ＂multi-species＂ in folk and custom general term,it is proposed it is not necessary to set a limit unless it is wrong.
