Elster is one of the important representatives of the school of'analytical Marxism',he presented the concept of 'the Contradiction in Reality'and studied the relationship between it and 'logical contradiction'in logics and society and interpreting Marxism after carefully studying the category of 'contradiction'.In Elster's idea,'the contradiction in reality'can be divided into individual contradiction and social contradiction.The individual contradiction refers to the contradictory expectation and contradictory beliefs.Social contradiction refers to the logic conflicts between the goal and the result and the conflicts between the possibility and reality.It takes two forms:anti-ultimacy and suboptimality.We agree that Elster's discussion about 'the contradiction in reality'is quite enlightening.The social contradiction mentioned by him is a special form of dialectical contradiction and it provides an important mode to analyze the real contradiction.
