The term “Sustainable Development” is defined. The main points of ISO 14000 environment management standards and contents are briefly introduced and emphatically analysed. The problems concerning the environmental pollution are enumerated in die casting enterprise. Active implementation of the formal envinomental management system in ISO 14000 is the urgent task so as to bring great benefit to casting enterprise.
