The removal of the inclusions in tundish depends not simply on the size of tundish. It is favourable for the removal of the inclusions to prolong the length of tundish. The removal ratio of the inclusions in the H-shaped tundish is larger than any other-shaped one. It is effective on preventing the liquid steel being contaminated to adopt advanced measures for tundish operation at the casting start and during the ladle change.
