The solubilities of hydrogen and oxygen in molten copper, the gas absorbing conditions in pure coppermelting and casting, the mechanism of pore formation, the effect of pores on the quality of copper tubes and precautionstaken to diminish gas absorbing phenomenon are briefly described in this paper.
