4个绵羊品种GDF8基因多样性检测

摘要 GDF8是肌肉发育的负调控因子,其功能失活会导致肌肉肥大。在特克塞尔羊中发现GDF8基因3'UTR区的G→A突变抑制了GDF8基因的表达,造成携带突变的个体肌肉过度发育。本实验分析了GDF8基因该突变点在道赛特羊(57只)、夏洛来羊(47只)、罗姆尼羊(38只)和湖羊(152只)中的多样性。结果表明,供试的4个绵羊品种中未发现该位点突变的个体,推测该突变可能与品种有关。 GDF8 is a negative regulator of skeletal muscle growth and functional inactivation of it causes a significant increase in muscle mass. The allele in Texel sheep is characterized by a G to A transition in the 3' UTR of GDF8 gene that contributes to the muscular hypertrophy of carrier. In this study, the mutation site of GDF8 gene was analyzed in 4 sheep breeds including Dorset sheep (57), Charollais sheep (47), Romney sheep (38) and Hu sheep (152). The results showed that no carrier of this mutation site was found in these sheep breeds. It supposed that this mutation concerned with some certain sheep breed.
