《说文解字约注》是张舜徽汉代小学研究特别是许慎说文学研究的杰出代表作,凝聚了作者极大的心血,也经历了许多磨难,十分值得关注。本文在通读全书的基础上,对其撰著特点寻绎归纳,并从中把握《约注》的整体学术成就。诸如对《说文》体例的揭示,对社会生活实践的重视等等,都是学术界今后进一步深入研究的宝贵借鉴。

Notes to Interpretation of Articles and Words by ZHANG Shun-hui is an outstanding work among all studies of literature of Han Dynasty, especially that of XU Shen, which is an agglomeration of his painstaking effort and underwent various difficulties in its writing. On the basis of careful reading of the whole work, the author of this paper attempts to sum up its writing styles and sort out its academic achievements, as revealing the writing styles of Interpretation of Articles and Words and special attention to the practice in social life, which may serve as precious reference for the further study of the ancient work.
