新疆少数民族传统体育文化起源于狩猎、战争、民风民俗、宗教习俗等,具有鲜明的民族性、地域性、节庆性和娱乐性。它至今仍活跃于民间庆祝活动和有组织的各种赛事之中,同时也为传统体育文化的传承起着推动作用。随着时代的发展,我们应重视全国民运会和新疆民运会;发展新疆少数民族传统体育产业;全面地收集、整理、发掘、保存和传承新疆少数民族传统体育项目,使之更加发扬光大。

Xinjiang ethnic minority＇ traditional sports culture originated from hunting, wars, folkways and religions. It has its distinct national, regional, festive and entertaining aspect. The traditional sports are still active in today＇s celebrating activities and promote the inheritance of the traditional sports culture. With the development of the world, much attention must be paid to Nationality Sports Meetings in China and in Xinjiang, to the development of traditional sports industry of Xinjiang minority nationalities, and to fully collect, sort out, explore, preserve and carry on the traditional sports of Xinjiang minority nationalities.
