围绕我国地理信息系统的建设特点和发展脉络,从地理信息系统的概念、结构与功能,从图形数据管理、数据挖掘、空间分析到地理现象或实体空间分布格局、时间演化过程、系统界面间耦合模式及系统间的相互作用分析,再到地球系统模拟的发展历程,回顾分析了陈述彭先生发展我国地理信息系统事业的学术理念、战略思想与科学体系,从中领悟地理信息系统的多维动态、区域综合、系统耦合、过程集成的研究体系。

In remember of Academician Chen Shupeng, this paper reviewed and analyzed the concept, structure and functions of Geographic Information System in China, especially the development of GIS from graphic management, data mining, spatial analysis to spatial pattern analysis of geographic entities and their changes, the couple and interactive of geo-sphere, and further to earth system simulation. Such a development is full of Professor Chen＇s outstanding contribution.
