During May Fourth China, the translation and introduction of Tagore＇s prose poetry have helped the new poetry break the chain of old poetry, realize the liberation of versification, establish the modern poetry idea, and create a new versification. On the other hand, it has disterbed the purge to the drawback of prose style, affected the moderate standard to 20th century modern versification.
