Comprehensive Techniques and Exploitation for Establishment of Summer Millet High Yield Belt in Hebei

针对河北省谷子主产区为半湿润易旱地区和半干旱类型区,水资源缺乏,生产落后等问题,示范推广高产优质、耐旱耐瘠谷子新品种,改革耕作方式并配套科学的栽培技术,探索了旱作农业增产增收的有效途径。

According to shortage of water resources, backward in production, and that the major millet growing area of Hebei province belongs to semiarid and semi - humid area, this study was carried out on setting examples, application and dissemination of new varieties, which have the advantages of high yield good quality, tolerance to drought and infertility; improving farming methods; forming a scientific cultural practice set; and exploring the available way to increase foxtail millet production and income in arid farming.
