Realizing the Reunification of the Motherland Is the Wish Shared by All the Chinese People

早日实现台湾同祖国大陆的和平统一,是包括台湾同胞在内的全体中国人民的强烈愿望和不可动摇的意志,也是不可阻挡的历史潮流。中华民族具有维护祖国统一的爱国主义优良传统,实现祖国完全统一事关中华民族根本利益,两岸关系和平发展符合历史潮流和两岸同胞的愿望,在中国共产党的领导下,在两岸同胞的共同努力下,台湾问题一定能够得到解决。

Realizing a peaceful reunification of Taiwan and the mainland as soon as possible is the strong desire and unshakable will of all the Chinese people including those Taiwan Compatriots and it is also the irresistible tide of history too. As the Chinese nation has a fine patriotic tradition of safeguarding the unification of the motherland, realizing a complete reunification of the motherland concerns the fundamental interests of the Chinese nation. The peaceful development of the cross-Straits relations accords with the tide of history and the wish of the compatriots on both sides of the straits. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and with the joint efforts of the compatriots on both sides of the straits, the Taiwan Question can unquestionably be solved.
