The Stability and Plasticity of the Personality Development:Perspectives on Evolutionary Theory

The stability and plasticity of personality has been a great debate for a long time. In recent years, with the development of evolutionary psychology, there is a new research orientation in personality psychology--Evolutionary Personality Psychology （EPP）. EPP makes uses of evolutionary theory to explore and study deeply such issues as the human nature and the development of the personality. The paper based on the theory of evolutionary personality psychology discusses the individual, environment and interaction of stability and plasticity of personality development and evaluate the evolutionary perspectives on personality development.
