Misunderstandings and Reflections on Market-oriented Higher Vocational and Technical Colleges

高职院校根据市场信号反映的供求关系调整学校资源分配,既可提高资源的利用率,又可激发办学活力。但高职院校单纯依靠市场调节,容易造成人才培养滞后、结构性失衡以及缺乏教育公益性等问题。因此,高职院校在面向市场办学过程中,应采取积极措施,使市场更好地发挥作用。

Market is flexible and open, so the higher vocational and technical colleges can promote utilization rate of resources and stimulate the college spirit by adjusting the resource allocation of colleges on the base of supply and demand reflected by delicate market signal. However, due to the speciality of vocational education and some market imperfections as spontaneousness, aimlessness and delay, higher vocational colleges will be prone to have problems of delayed training of talents, structural imbalance and lack of nonprofit feature if it solely relies on market regulation. Therefore, this research will focus on how to promote advantages and eliminate disadvantages to better use the function of market for market-oriented higher vocational and technical colleges.
