在北部湾经济区三市中,北海旅游业起步最早,交通最为发达、便捷,在旅游资源的数量、质量、产品的知名度上最具优势,旅游业已成为北海国民经济支柱产业。钦州、防城除占有森林覆盖率和人均道路面积大的优势之外,钦州还有其独占性资源中华白海豚,人文资源刘冯文化;防城还有其丰富的生物资源和边贸旅游资源。为提高这一地区的竞争能力,特作以下建议:整合区域旅游资源,突出地区旅游特色,提高旅游开发层次与服务水平,协调好地区间的关系。
