There are many excellent poets of frontier fortress at states of You and Ji in the Tang Dynasty, among whom Chen Zi＇ ang and Gao Shi are representatives. Chen Zi＇ ang and Gao Shi wrote a lot of poems about scene of frontier fortress that both praise soldiers of garrison and expose chaos caused by war, through which to express their opposition against the war and hope for the peaceful life. Their poems exert a tremendous influence on molding taste and sentiment and the conception of value for Chinese culture.
