摘要
这是作者上世纪80年代撰写的有关中亚东干人的田野民族志,可以说是英文作品中研究东干人的先行之作,内容涉及东干人的分布、来源、农庄、语言、饮食、服饰、婚姻及家庭、民居、宗教、个性和民族主义等。通过对上述内容的铺陈,反思东干人的未来。文中提出的东干人的历史记忆、民族认同、族群关系、语言和宗教等问题,经过近三十年的变迁,似乎有了新的答案,可以进行历时性的比较研究。
It is a precursory field ethnography written in English in the 1980s which concerns about Donggan people living in Central Asia. It mainly focused on their distribution, origins, collective farms, language, food, clothes, marriage and family, house, religion, ethnical characters and nationalism, etc. Based on the descriptions related to the themes alove, the writer attempted to reflect on Donggan people ＇ s future. As regards to the questions provided such as historical memory, ethnic identity, ethnic relationship, language and religion, etc. , which seemed to have new answers after 30 years transformation of Donggan society, and deserved to be studied diachronicaUy.
