陈水扁在8年任期内,为实现不可告人的政治目的和谋取私利,不断变换手法,疯狂推进各种"台独"分裂活动。虽然"法理台独"阴谋最终没有得逞,但"渐进式台独"取得了部分进展。"台独"分裂活动对台湾社会、两岸关系、地区稳定、美台关系产生了恶劣影响。

In order to achieve ulterior political motives and personal profits, Chen Shui-bian has constantly changed its tactics to promote all kinds of crazy ＂Taiwan independence＂split activities in past 8-year term. Although ＂legal Taiwan independence＂conspiracy did not succeed, ＂gradual Taiwan ;_ndependence＂has made some progress. It has badly impacted the Taiwan, cross-strait relations, regional stabihty and the US-Taiwan relations.
