英汉中动结构的语义指向对比分析

THE CONTRASTIVE SEMANTIC REFERENTIAL ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH AND CHINESE MIDDLE CONSTRUCTION

中动结构的主语为受事,但谓语动词为主动形式,施事在句中没有显现。本文在介绍英汉中动结构的基本形式的基础上,结合其语义特征,分析副词或形容词的语义指向。通过对比发现,汉语中动结构的副词或形容词的语义指向比英语复杂,而其语义指向的复杂性又会影响到词义的选择。

The subject position of the middle construction is occupied by the patient although the verb is in the active form. The agent is covert. This article first introduces the basic pattern of the middle construction, then goes on to talk about its semantic features, and finally analyzes the semantic reference of adverb or adjective. By contrast, adverbial or adjectival semantic reference in Chinese is more complex than in English,while its complexity affects the selection of the lexical meaning to a certain degree.
