The global financial crisis has great impact on small and medium - sized enterprises （SMEs） in Wenzhou, which are facing more critical challenges such as policy, financing, open economy and resource, etc. This article elucidates how to survive and develop for SMEs in Wenzhou under the backdrop of financial crisis, and further raises several strategic suggestions to transform and upgrade in a bid to tide over the current difficulties and tackle the financial crisis.
