摘要
在Sperber和Wilson提出的关联理论的框架下,语言交际是明示-推理行为,翻译则被看成是一种涉及大脑机制的交际行为,是一种寻求最佳关联的认知-推理活动。因此,译者在翻译过程中必须理解原交际者的交际意图,考虑译语接受者的认知语境,准确传达原文本的各种明示及隐含信息,力争达到原文本和译语文本的最佳关联。本文拟以广告、菜单、电影片名以及小说四种文本为语料,以关联理论构建框架,以最佳关联为切入点,试探讨该理论对翻译中各种隐含信息的显化的指导作用。
Under the framework of Sperber and Wilson's relevance theory, language communication is an ostensive - inferential model and translation is treated as a kind of brain - involving communicative activity as well as a cognitive - inferential activity in the pursuit of optimal relevance. Therefore, when translating, the translator must figure out the communicative intension of the author, take reader's cognitive context into consideration so that all the literal meaning and implication can be fully conveyed to the readers. The translator must contend strongly for the optimal relevance of the original and translated text. Based on texts of advertisement, menu, title of movie and novels, this paper centers on the optimal relevance of the relevance theory and tries to probe into its function of guidance in the explicitation of some implicative information.
