This paper introduces the good results obtained through the application of VAI SMART/ASTC technique in 150 tons stainless steel making engineering of Taiyuan Iron and Steel Complex,and probes into the functions of roll-gap and opening-degree measuring technique,the application of which realizes full automatic control of roll-gap measuring,operates safely,stably and high-effectively,and makes all indexes meet the demands of design.
