摘要
约翰·邓恩是英国17世纪玄学派诗歌的代表人物,其奇特怪异的玄学思维对后来的作家产生了很大的影响。尽管文学界对邓恩的文学地位褒贬不一,但是他的诗歌受到了T.S.艾略特的推崇和现代读者的赞同。本文将主要分析约翰·邓恩《歌与十四行诗》中的诗歌形式、叙述方式和对意象的处理,从中可以发现诗歌中所蕴含的现代主义诗歌特征。
John Donne is the representative figure of English metaphysical poetry in the 17th century. His peculiar metaphysical thinking has greatly influenced his later writers. Though despised and celebrated, yet Donne is highly praised by T. S. Eliot and modern readers. This thesis will analyze Donne’s poetic form, narrative way and image arrangement. It is proved that the features of modernist poetry have budded in Donne’s Songs and Sonnets.
