摘要
自然、女性、艺术对于威拉·凯瑟及其早期文学作品的影响是巨大的,这种影响使得凯瑟在许多作品中都提到了艺术家,特别是女性艺术家,并形成了她作品中鲜明的艺术形象和她作品的独特的艺术感染力。本文主要是从凯瑟的经历和为凯瑟笔下不同类型的艺术家分类入手,探析这些艺术家及其艺术生命的源泉及影响力。
The influence that nature, women, and art have on Willa Cather and her early literary works is tremendous. Cather wrote about artists touching her in reality, and put them into her novels and short stories. Therefore, her literary works have their peculiar images of art and artists as well as their particular artistic appeal. This paper analyzes the various types of artists through Willa Cather＇ s life experiences and her novels and short stories in order to discover the root and source of their artistic vitality and influence.
