外国文学教学改革刻不容缓

An Urgent Cry for Reformation in Foreign Literature Teaching

由于市场经济和就业压力的潜在影响,外国文学如同汉语言文学专业其它学科一样,面临严峻挑战,受教育者不仅不读文学名著,甚至压根儿就不喜欢文学专业,从而直接导致毕业生的质量逐步下滑。为了缓解这些矛盾,我们不断改进教学方法,完善教学艺术,调整考试内容,革新评分制度,激发学生学习外国文学的积极性和主动性,努力培养合格人才。

With the influences of market economy and employment pressure, Foreign Literature, like other subjects under Chinese Language and Literature, is facing a daunting challenge. Students majoring in literature do not read literary classics and they do not even like their major, which leads to a decline in the competence of college graduates. To alleviate these contradictions, we keep improving our teaching methods, adjusting the test content, innovating the grading system, and inspiring the students to learn foreign literature actively and initiatively.
