水资源是人类赖以生存、不可替代的基础性自然资源,是生态环境系统中最活跃、影响最广泛的控制性要素之一,对社会经济的可持续发展有重要影响。本文介绍了水资源合理配置定义及其与可持续发展的关系,全面总结了水资源合理配置研究的成功实践,指出了水资源配置研究中存在的问题及未来研究的发展趋势。

Water resources is the foundamental natural resource that human being relied on and un-substituted and is one of the activest and most widely influenceable factors in ecological entironmental system with great influence for the sustainable development of social economy. This paper introduced the definition of rational allocation of water resource and the relationship of sus tainable development, and summarized the successful practice of research on the rational allocation of water resources, then pointed out the problems in the research and development trend in the future.
