端午是中国重要的民俗节日,在这个节日里,有很多的民俗事象和活动。这些事象和活动都源于祈福镇邪驱灾的原始巫术,表现出中国人对生命、对人生的重视,对现实功利的关注。战国末年,楚人为表达对屈原的敬重,将纪念屈原的活动纳入端午民俗之中,给端午民俗增添了新的内容和新的文化价值,即在关注现实人生的同时,注入了对超越性价值的追求,对包括爱国、理想和正义等范畴的"道义"的持守,从而形成了中华民族独特的端午文化价值体系。它影响着两千多年来中华民族与大中华文化圈内的广大民众,成为泛中华文化圈内的一个重要民俗节日。

Duanwu is one of China s important folk festivals,in which people have a series of special activities originated from old sorceries,showing Chinese people s attention to life.In the end of Warring States Period,people added commemorating Qu Yuan into these folk activities,which enriches the festival content and its cultural values.Since then,these values have affected more than 2,000 years the Chinese nation and Chinese culture circle,and Duanwu has become an important festival in the pan-Chinese cultural circle.
