This paper narrates the activities of two French Roman Catholic Orders in Canada during French regime in 1615 -1670, points out that the support given by French royal and people from all walks of life is critical to enable French Catholicism to continue its mission in the French colony--Canada. It also discusses the general situation, the effectiveness and influences of the mission, as well as the historical role of Roman Catholic in the social development of France＇s early colony--Canada.
